How we work

We’re a family business, which means we do things differently - no hard sells, subcontracting, just honest advice and personal service from start to finish. Whether you’re curious or ready to dive in, here’s what working with us looks like.

  • Construction of natural swimming pool with a rectangular hole surrounded by oak framing on a gravel surface, with trees and sky in the background.

    1. Initital Chat

After you contact us, we’ll arrange to chat with you on the phone or via video call (whichever you prefer). This is a great chance for you to ask any initial questions and for us to learn a bit more about your home and garden and what you’re hoping to create.

    During the call, we will:

    - Answer any general questions you have

    - Look at your garden using Google Maps (satellite view) and talk through the space and layout

    - Give you an honest opinion on whether your space is suitable for a natural swimming pond

After the call, we’ll create a preliminary design based on our discussion and overlay it onto the Google Maps view of your garden. We’ll also send you a quote that includes all the main details and any assumptions we’ve made (which we’ll confirm in person during the next step).

  • Two children swimming and playing in a small swimming pond surrounded by rocky shoreline and lush green trees on a sunny day.

    2. Site Visit

If you’re happy with the initial quotation, the next step is to meet face-to-face at your property. This visit allows us to get a proper feel for the space, check important details like access, levels, and ground conditions and make sure what we’ve proposed will work well in reality.

After the visit, we’ll send you an updated design and quotation incorporating our findings and discussions at the site visit, including the swimming area, regeneration zones, filtration, and planting.

We’ll also invite you to visit our show pond, where you can see the quality of our work first-hand.

If you’re happy with everything and want to proceed with your natural swimming pond, we’ll agree on a date to begin the build.

  • Small newt found in natural swimming pool sitting on hand with water and a wooden dock in background.

    3. The Build

When you’re happy with the plan, we’ll get to work. We handle the full build ourselves - no subcontractors - so you always know who’s on site. We take care to respect your space, and will keep you in the loop throughout the project.

The build process usually takes 4-5 weeks and we’ll keep you informed throughout the process so you know what’s going on and what to expect.

Once the build is complete, we’ll plant the aquatic plants, which play a huge role in water quality and biodiversity and are essential for keeping the pond working as it should. Depending on how involved you want to be, we can look after everything or we can support you if you’d like to do this bit yourself.

Over the following weeks, your pond will start to balance itself naturally and attract wildlife. It’s beautiful to watch it evolve.
